FlickrExport is a plugin for iPhoto and Aperture which provides a direct export feature for Flickr.

This page contains beta-quality software which may contain bugs of varying levels of severity. Please do not use these beta versions unless you understand the risk.

New Features

FlickrExport 4 brings several new features including:

  • Multiple-account support
  • Upload to multiple photosets
  • Revised user interface
  • Video Upload (iPhoto only)
  • Metadata-only uploads - update Flickr from current Aperture metadata. (Aperture only)

A few features have been removed in this release:

  • FlickrExport for iPhoto no longer supports copying title and description changes back to iPhoto.
  • FlickrExport no longer supports capturing locations from Google Earth, due to limitations in Google Earth 5.
  • FlickrExport for iPhoto now requires iPhoto '08 or later.

Release Notes - 4.0b2 (2010-11-23)

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the "Replace existing" and "Update Flickr metadata" radio buttons to be enabled whent they shouldn't be and disabled when they should be enabled. (667364c)
  • Improved the language in the "Change Accounts?" dialog. (6378766)
  • Fixed a bug where, if the user declined to switch accounts in the warning pane, the popup would change anyway. (fe391a6)

Known Issues - 4.0b2 (2010-11-23)

  • FlickrExport will incorrectly offer 3.1.1 as an update to 4.0b1. This will be fixed on the software update server soon.
  • FlickrExport for Aperture can occasionally fail to add a second account correctly.
  • FlickrExport 4 will report itself as "FlickrExport 3" on Flickr's login pages and in "uploaded with" on your photos.

Reverting to FlickrExport 3.x

If you install a beta version and you want to revert to the most recent production version, please re-run the installer and click "Uninstall".

Note that a 3.x installer will not correctly remove FlickrExport 4 from your system. Please uninstall using the 4.x installer first.
